Operation Christmas Child

Dosbarth Three Cliffs have taken part in Operation Christmas Child, sending shoeboxes full of gifts to children around the world.  We learnt about Operation Christmas Child, wrote a list of things we wanted to include in our boxes and then went shopping to buy the gifts.  With contributions from parents and staff, we were able to fill 4 shoeboxes.  Thank you to all who contributed.

STF Football Tournament

This year we have the opportunity to take part in the STF football tournament. 2 of our pupils - Logan and Lewey - played in the most recent group matches which we won. We beat Clase 6-1 and Clwyd 6-0. The children really enjoyed taking part in the football matches and will be taking part in football training sessions on a weekly basis in School.

Visit to Morriston Comprehensive Salon

Some of our pupils now have access to the fabulous facilities at Morriston Comprehensive and the fantastic teacher Mrs Johnson.

We are learning about plaiting, brushing and decorating hair as well as how a hairdresser should look and present in the role.

We are really enjoying it.  We even have new tunics so we really feel like real hairdressing students!

For Roald Dahl week, we read George's Marvellous Medicine.  We had lots of fun describing Grandma, measuring to get the correct amount in the medicine and mixing colours to make the medicine brown to trick Grandma.

Roald Dahl Week

For Roald Dahl week we looked at the story of 'James and the Giant Peach'. We read a few chapters every day and did lots of different activities based around the book. On the last day of the week we all dressed up as characters from the book, watched the film with popcorn and had a party in the afternoon. We had so much fun!
