Industrial action by NEU and NAHT – Tuesday 14th February

As you may be aware from the national media the above two unions are taking industrial action and the National Education Union (NEU) has declared a second day of strike action that is due to take place on Tuesday 14 February 2023.

As a result Ysgol Pen y Bryn will be closed to the majority of pupils on Tuesday 14 February 2023. We are able to open for a small number of classes who are unaffected by the results of the industrial action. Parents and carers of pupils who will be able to come to school will be informed directly.

Any decisions regarding the impact of future planned industrial action days will be made nearer those days, following a robust assessment of risk. I will update you as soon as I have information to share and at least seven days in advance of any day of industrial action.
