Reading/phonics skills:   

Spelling words -

First: You can complete the homework sheet we sent out last week.  If you haven't got your please send us a message on dojo and we will upload it for you. 

Then: Write the definition (meaning) of your spelling words.  You can use a dictionary or an online dictionary, we recommend https://www.wordsmyth.net/ 

Finally: Write a sentence with each of your spelling words.

You can upload your work on dojo for staff to mark if you want. 

 

Reading eggs - Please carry on with the activities. We have sent out your log in details on class dojo. You can carry on working through the sessions at your level or with the assessment. You can download readings eggs as an app or log in online by clicking here. 

Jonny Grammar - Please carry on or start the activities. This can be downloaded as an app.  You will need to create an account if you don't already have one. Click here for a link to download the app.

 

Maths: 

Worksheets -We will be send out work sheets on class dojo and on hwb on Tuesday and Thursday.  You can upload your finished work on dojo for staff to mark if you want. 

 

Numbots - You can carry on or start using Numbots.  We have sent out your log in details on class dojo.  You log in online by following this link and when prompted type in the school name 'Pen-Y-Bryn' and then use the log in details you were given. Questions will get harder as you work through the app.

Times Table Rock Stars - Your log in details are the same as you Numbots log in. You can log in to TTRS by following this link and when prompted type in the school name 'Pen-Y-Bryn' and then use the log in details you were given. 

 

Topic work: We will be sending out a new activity daily on class dojo on the class story. 

 

Health and Well-being: Mrs Plagne-Ismail will be posting an activity Monday, Wednesday and Friday on class dojo linked to staying positive and managing our feelings. 

 

Staying active: 

Active Alphabet - Every day we will be asking you to spell a different word using the alphabet above.  Want an extra challenge? Why not make a video of you spelling a word and post it to our class story and others can guess what you are spelling. 

Lion King Dance - Here is a dance tutorial from the Lion King Musical. You might even want to upload a video of you having a go at home to our class story.  

 

Exciting Extras:

Make an African drum. Here is a link to video to show you how.  You could use paper cups and pens or even plastic cups and stick on paper to decorate them. 

Make an African rainmaker. Here is a link to a video to show you how.  You could use the inside of the toilet roll, kitchen roll or wrapping paper. 

Enterprise Minecraft activity.  The pdf guide will be sent out on Tuesday.

Enterprise WWF activity.  The pdf guide will be sent out on Thursday.
