Summer 1 Week 3

In literacy this week we scanned QR codes to learn the signs for key words in our story. We watched the video and then taught our classmates. We used the laptops to answer comprehension questions and print our work. We also read the story joining in with our new signs and then created a story mountain of the main events. In Welsh this week we started to learn some new words based around our theme. We played a game outside to help us to remember the new vocabulary. In science this week we learnt about materials that are natural and man made. We looked around school and took photographs of different materials on our iPads. When we got back to class we made an iPad book or collage to show the two types of materials that we found. All the pupils really enjoyed the athletics event on Thursday. We were lucky enough on Tuesday to have an author come into class to read us their book 'Princess Pirate Pants'. The pupils asked her questions and enjoyed the story. They did running, long jump and shotput. We have also been working really on our individual targets this week.

Article 28 of the UNCRC says that children and young people have the right to education.
