Newsletter Spring 2 Week 6

On Monday we celebrated Earth Day! We learnt about an artist called Wassily Kandinsky. He was an abstract artist who used shapes and bright colours in his art. We painted trees in his style and recreated one of his famous paintings "Squares with Concentric Circles". This week we have also been exploring our new school vales. These are our Pen-y-Bryn CARES - Community, Ambition, Respect, Excitement and Safety. We designed a sensory display and went to buy different materials from Hobbycraft. We talked about what each of our CARES meant to us and created a class display. Thank you for your sponsor money, on Wednesday we had lots of fun raising money in our sponsored push. The pupils loved pushing themselves in the wheelchairs. We had a lovely last day, showing off our Easter hats and baskets in the parade in the morning and then collecting eggs in our Easter Egg hunt. Have a brilliant holiday everyone!
