Autumn 1 Week 6

This week we have been doing lots of Harvest activities. We learnt about the Christian Harvest Festival and why it is celebrated. We then generated ideas using what we had learnt to design our harvest box. We decided to make a tractor pulling a trailer full of foods from the Harvest. It looked amazing! We have also been doing Autumn science experiments this week. We went on an Autumn walk around the school grounds collecting different natural materials that we found along the way. Back in class we tested the items that we had found to see if they floated or sank. We also tested apples to see what happened to them when they were covered in different liquids. We then drew the reaction after 4 hours and then again the next day. The last experiment we conducted was pumpkin volcanoes. We tested what happened when you mixed water, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. Its been a very busy and exciting week! Have a lovely weekend.
